2019-I want to tell you how much your program has positively impacted our school! We are all “on the same page” and schedule for writing, speak a common language, and are experiencing such success with our students’ progress! We have NEVER seen writing samples as we have this year! BOYS are constantly approaching me thanking me “for Write Bright,” because they LOVE IT!!!” We edit and bring work to final copy and it is something our students are proud of. Thank you for creating such a comprehensive writing program that works so well for us. God bless! –Mrs. Mary Kelly,Curriculum Coordinator,Yeshiva K’tana of Waterbury

The “Write Bright” curriculum has been an amazing teaching tool which has been utilized at my school for seven years. I am proud to say that my school has achieved the highest writing scores in the district after using Write Bright with our students. We have seen incredible improvements in our state writing scores since the curriculum was implemented. My teachers are pumped up and positive about what they have learned and thrilled with the results in student performance. “Write Bright” has been an integral part of our total writing curriculum and is by far the best, most thorough program I have found. It uses a guided writing approach that takes the writer by the hand and leads them step-by-step through composing a five paragraph essay. The guided approach gives students self-confidence as they learn at their own pace. Children that were failing in writing were quickly able to succeed due to the repetitive instruction found in this curriculum. “Write Bright” brings together the best practices in writing to make learning effective for the students. Teachers are overwhelmed with the pressures of meeting increasingly difficult curricular demands. I believe that the lessons and tools in the “Write Bright” curriculum play a key role in helping teachers quickly execute a well-developed writing lesson with very little planning. Teachers appreciate that it is easy to use. They point, click and the lesson is ready to teach. The time-saving lessons and tools help writers move rapidly ahead to form a solid foundation in writing. The greatest strengths of the program are the structured format consistent in each lesson along with the powerful tools that show students how to incorporate descriptive writing and incredible word choice into each paragraph. The “Write Bright” curriculum takes away the fear and lack of self-confidence some students experience while trying to put words on paper. Our students have been given a gift through the “Write Bright” curriculum that they will use for a lifetime. Dr. Richard Demeri – Principal Woodlawn Elementary

“I have used Write Bright successfully in my classroom for two years, and now that I am my school’s Vice-Principal I would like to obtain a school license for my school. Using Write Bright has resulted in 95% of my students achieving or surpassing the Ontario provincial average in both Writing and Reading.” -Odun Disu, Moosonee Public School 2018

“The Write Bright curriculum is easy to use and implement at any grade level, not just “tested” grades. Since each lesson is scripted the same way, even novice teachers can succeed in writing instruction, and students move very quickly from average writers to top-level writers. I would wholeheartedly recommend this curriculum to any classroom or school looking to increase test scores, at the same time shaping better writers.” Ian Belanger – Grade 4 teacher

The “Write Bright” program has helps students organize their thoughts and ideas into a plan that is easy to understand and remember. The students can use that plan to format and create the rest of their story. I have seen my students blossom into excellent writers using the plan, format and “fluffy flowery” words that is taught in this program. Over the past 7 years of teaching, I have tried other writing programs, but none of them increased the writing abilities and Raised the Scores of my students like Write Bright. Allisa Ibrahim – Fourth Grade Instructor Fred Wild Elementary

“Student friendly writing plans make narrative and expository essays come to life. I have used the Write Bright program for several years and have watched test scores soar! Teacher materials are only a click away; no manuals to pour through–it is so easy to use.” Sue Donaldson – 3rd Grade Teacher

“I began using “Write Bright” in its early years of development. I had a low-average reading group and I was really “stumped” when it came to having them effectively express their ideas through a piece of writing. Once I began using “Write Bright” during the second grading period my students began to become very effective writers. “Write Bright” gives them a structure, so my students were no longer fretting the writing process. They learned to follow the format and in doing so were able to add the details and use the robust vocabulary that makes a piece of writing come alive. They would even add similes and metaphors! When my end of the year writing scores came back I was extremely flabbergasted. Two students in my low-average reading group made 5.0 on the Florida Writes!” Danielle Ward 5th Grade – Advanced Academics

“This program has a rhythm and precision which insures a high level of effectiveness for my students regardless of academic level.” Marinez Goldston Grade 3 – ESE C. Trail Elementary

“What an awesome program to bring success and growth to each student’s writing. The Write Bright curriculum sparkles with a basic organized process that includes ideas for each prompt presented. It takes the guess out of the process and razzles the writer into a successful experience. The repetition allows children to internalize the basics proving Write Bright dazzles with success.” MaryAnn Knapp – 3rd grade Coral Springs Elementary

Dear Write Bright Station:

The writing is so involved, I actually took a break and just focused on grammar. We’ve done that pretty regularly and now my child regularly capitalizes and punctuates her sentences correctly; before it was much more sporadic.

What I also learned during the process is that my child has a strong talent for paraphrasing, and I am looking forward to completing that activity with her! Although we’d paused the Dust Bowl writing piece, in between, my child wrote two pieces independently without complaint for the first time, in a very long time (over a year ago). Previously, she did write, independently, but now, she is much more motivated.

She was able to easily plan her narrative and your video, with the enthusiasm that the co-teacher displays in her voice, and the encouragement she gives towards creativity helped my daughter combine real life experience with creative license in a way I haven’t ever experienced outside of my own personal writings and in my approach towards previous homeschool writing activities.

It felt good to know I wasn’t the only person in the world who was okay with using the imagination to create a narrative even, and especially if there isn’t any actual personal experience with the topic. This approach definitely helped my child, who doesn’t remember exactly what happened when she lost any of her tooth. (I do, but the experience was rather unremarkable, unlike the example scenarios presented in the lesson) Thank you!

I have looked at several homeschool writing options – Time4Learning, Time4Writing, Brave Writer, IEW, Writinga-z, Moving Beyond the Page, and Essentials in Writing. I can truly state that Write Bright Station has truly been a great fit for my child!
